Duh, forgot to bring change today for the vending machines. Also left my cellphone at home. Normally, I give Lori a call when I get my first break. Haven't called her all day. Work doesn't like us using our work phones for personal matters. Anyway, I'm going to be home soon anyway. It still irks me though.
Today's chess lesson went well. I teach a 6 year old named Alexander. He is the son of a friend of mine here at Sitel, Dmitri Kusnetsov.
I've been teaching him for 3 weeks now. He is a very bright kid and much better at chess then I was when I started. Of course, he's learning from the best. :D hehe
Plus, when you are at that age, you absorb information like a sponge. I started very late at the age of 18, so I was already a "has been" by the time I started learning chess and then going to tournaments. But, at least I taught myself how to play.

The hacker replaced users' passwords and e-mail addresses with 'hacx0redbyme' or 'hax0redbyme.'

Blogger has suffered a security intrusion by a "haX0r." We have all the data that was changed backed up within a couple hours of the attack, so we can have things pretty much back to normal soon. Of course, we're assessing the situation as thoroughly as possible to make sure it doesn't happen again. Also, if you store your FTP login information in Blogger, it wouldn't hurt to change that on your server—though it is unlikely that information was accessed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Update: We have found the cause of the vulnerability and have patched it. Everything is back restored and back online with the exception of the API server and bSTATS.

Which just goes to show that you have to be careful in everything you do. I'm going to look into another weblog or blog site and see if that is better.
Update: Found another site, http://ravendon.diary-x.com, but not sure if I like it any better. The html displays more accurately, but I don't like their format. Only one message at a time.

Well, Quinlan had her very first school field trip on Thursday. She was very excited to go.:: Sunday, October 13, 2002 ::
It almost got cancelled because it started to rain that day and it got a bit heavier by the time I took her to school.
They decided to cancel the apple picking because they said there weren't enough apples left to go around, however they did let the kids pick out pumpkins.
Quinlan picked up a nice little pumpkin.
Other then that, we had a very nice get together last week with Mom and Pa Nelson when they came up to Madison for Lori's birthday.
All in all, it's been a good week.
Today, I forgot to pick up my check from work so I have to wait until Monday to pick it up and deposit it. That sucks.
And tomorrow, on Saturday, I'll have to take my car in for a diagnostic and see how much it will cost. It's been acting weird for months, ever since I let the battery run down.

Well, for those who aren't in the know, we have a brand new dual 867Mhz G4 PowerMac with a DVD burning SuperDrive, thanks to Lori's mother.
This is by far the best computer I have ever owned. I'm loving it.

Well, it was Lori's birthday yesterday. I couldn't reallly get her too much because of work. But, I did get her a brand new tv and vcr.
And I'll be updating Quinlan's computer so Lori can play her beta Sims Online game. She was so happy to have been selected as a beta tester.
Software comes in stages of development. The first stage is Alpha, where they have worked on it for a while and it is working, however, there are a lot of problems with it. Next, comes Beta stage, where the sw is publicly released and beta testers are allowed to download it and test it out for the company. This way, they have hundreds or thousands of people using the software and reporting bugs and problems. Anyway, Lori wants a faster system, so I guess I'll upgrade the PC. Either that or add more ram and upgrade the Mac.
Lori's family is coming up for her birthday party. It's been a few months since they last visited. They should visit more often.
One of these days, I will have to get new tires and have my car's transmission looked at. It's not a good sign when the car slows down on it's own or when it lurches into various gears.
